If you go to the Sony website you find out that Waste Management charges $25 to $50 for recycling non-Sony televisions. Then if you go to the Waste Management site you find out the recycling center for New York is in Ithaca, NY which is not even close to any of the big upstate cities of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse or Albany. Between the recycling fee and the cost of gas, it does not make any sense to try and take advantage of this offer.
