Mitsubishi WD-52531 grey area on blank screen?

This HDTV is almost a year old and has a very light grey area in the middle of the screen. This is visible when the set is off. The area is about 10" wide at the bottom of the screen and narrows to 1"-2"as it gets higher on the screen, disappearing by the time it gets within 3" of the top of the screen. It doesn't seem to have gotten worse for several months, and it does not interfere with the picture. But now that the TV is almost a year old, I'm wondering if this should be a warranty concern. Any insight would be appreciated.

I have a DLP rear projection. Mine also has a faint grey area in the middle with the set turned off and fairly bright light shining on it. I know I have read somewhere that this is completely normal and not any kind of malfunction. At least with DLP, but I'll bet it is the same for any RP. I even thought it was in my owners manual, but can't find it. I am 99% sure it is nothing to worry about. By the way, welcome to the forum.
