Mitsubishi WS-65611

Post by WS65611 »

I was hoping someone here might be able to help me repair my Mitsubishi WS-65611 it was manufactured in 2003. The TV turns on and has normal picture and sound but then kicks off after about 30 seconds. Also now the remote does not work anymore. The unit had done the kicking off thing occasionally in the past but now it seems to have gotten much worse. I ran the self diagnosis by pushing the menu and device buttons on the front and the code was 1-2 which by the book indicates no fault. I have checked the power supply and it is 120 volts steady so not sure how to proceed at this point. Any Mits repair experts here? I have soldering and multi meter skills but very little electronics skills and this thing looks like a electronic monster on the inside not even sure where to start. I have downloaded the service manual but it is actually very little help. Is there a Mitsubishi site where all the symptons can be sent in and then they can tell you which specific parts to check? I like to do my own repairs and am sure that this would not be far outside my skill level with a bit of guidance.

Hope this helps....

About all we can do here is make sure your problem is not related to some customer feature, system setup or source device. Your TV is broken. Unfortunately there is nothing we can for you here as we are not a DIY site but Google can help you find sites that are.
