I need help with HDMI Splitter issues

First let me give you my system components:
Mitsubishi HC5000 HD 1080P projector
Vutec Lectric 1 92" motorized white matte screen
Sony Str-DA5200ES a/v receiver
Playstation3
HTPC Silverstone LC 10
Escient Fireball
Sony DVP-CX777ES
Panasonic TC-32LX700 LCD display
Gefen 1:2 HDMI Splitter
Genesis MX-900 Remote
2 Martin Logan Dynamo Subs
6 Polk LCi In-Wall speakers (3 LC80i's and 3 rear LC60i's)
1 DCH3416 HD Dual Tuner DVR Comcast
Satellite feed input on channel 3 thru Panasonic TV

Of course tons of wiring but hence the problem is when switching from sources I have a problem with "poltergeist screens" and when changing channels on cable box. This frustrates me. Is it the splitter? What should I do? It never happens when I'am using the HTPC or the PS3 when surfing the web. Only when viewing source material ie., cable, dvd, tv, which involves switching. Help It has to be the splitter. Right

Three things come to my mind here relative to my own experience with HDMI splitters and HDMI cables.
1. Without splitter support for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP), the video quality and resolution may be artificially downgraded by the signal source to prevent the end user from viewing or especially copying restricted content.
2. HDMI pin 19 is for "Hot Plug Detect" but not all HDMI cables have pin 19 wired correctly.
3. Not all HDMI splitters have pin 19 support.

You say this is a splitter yet per your list I see only one display... is this a switcher?

Either way have you tried bypassing it? That would clearly answer your question.

Again, bypassing it will answer that for sure. Also, one of our members had much trouble with Geffen and the fix was a firmware upgrade.

What are "poltergeist screens"?

Do all of the sources work on all displays when individually connected directly (i.e. without the AVR/splitter)?
