Plot ... Volver follows three generations of women who survive the east wind, fire, insanity, superstition and even death through the culture of La Mancha. The people there - living and dead -coexist with an admirable naturalness in that the dead continue to be present in the lives of the living, as the richness and humanity of their rites mean that the dead never die.
