Lady In The Water - DVD, HD DVD, Blu-ray

Post by Tombanjo »

M. Night Shyamalan's latest was pretty much universally hammered, but I liked it anyway. His movies have three things I really enjoy.

1. Style without excessive flash.

2. Mystery that's always steeped in fantasy.

3. An uplifting positive message.

Lady had all three and while it might be a bit ragged around the edges and the message a bit corny, it still entertains and that's all I care about. Robert Altman made a few sloppy films in his time and I never recalled him getting abandoned by his studio (Disney) and ripped like M. Night did for this effort.
