Andy Sachs, a female journalist and noob to New York, lands a job in the world of fashion as a personal secretary to the notorious Miranda Preistly, whose last name pretty much signifies her place in the fashion world as the editor of Runway. The world of the common man collides with the cult of personality and fashion. Andy is trying to find her place and also find out what her boundaries should be as Miranda pushes each and every employee to the limit.

This was a fun movie and better yet very intelligent due to the interweaving dilemma of social marketing cults versus the real world of life with each side making valid points through out the movie. While Andy and her ilk tend to write of the fashion world as mere vanity and a useless waste of money the other side of that coin is pragmatically delivered by Miranda. The cast is outstanding delivering entertainment and believability while provoking thought.
