I am able to use my HDTV internal QAM to receive Comcast digital signals without a box. Channels 1 thru 78, then 80.1 through 120.4. Included are HD signals from ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW and CW2. I get no channel guide that shows correct listings/numbers above Ch 80.
How can I get a correct guide other than simply scrolling through channels and writing everything down?
Thanks,
Bob

Comcast QAM listings for Denver, CO
If you mean program guide listings, this depends on your TV. I have a Sony 30 HDTV with Cablecard/QAM tuner. There is guide listing on the analog chanels but not DTV ones. However, on the ATSC side, program guide data for the same DTV Denver locals is sent for many of the channels. If you have a UHF antenna, try this for the HD stations.
Try checking the analog cable channels first for guide listing, then switch to DTV channel. Comcast doesn't want to make it easy for you, but instead want you to subscribe to one of their digital packages. If you have cablecard, you can sub to that for the guide info and premium channels.

You need to find a local users group and hope one of them has generated a channel map.

Thanks for all the help
I suppose I will just have to do my own mapping. I appreciate the time each of you took to reply.
