For anyone that is interested in a 1080 D-ILA, but didn't want a 56" ser, JVC just 'slipped in' a 52" version;
http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?modelId= ... 125&page=2
Unfortunately, it is a 'chinsy silver' cabinet (they call "Titanium"). It appears to have 1394 ports, but no TV Guide on-screen.
Price difference isn't much more than the 720s'.
BUT, the real news is this (2nd entry on 1st link);

52" 1080p
Hello Bruce,
This a great set, we just got them in last week and put one on display in our showroom next to the 70" version. TV looks awesome. The cabinet is not so bad "new titanium". JVC will be offering a matching stand shortly.
Consumer Reports rated the 61" JVC 1080p #1 last year, lets see how the other manufactures score this year with their new product offerings.
