"The Night Listener"
Plot ... Gabriel Noone is a colourful public radio storyteller who begins talking on the phone with a precocious, 14 year-old listener named Pete, a boy with his own incredible story to tell about a nightmare childhood. As Gabriel draws closer to Pete and his adopted mother, becoming a kind of surrogate father, he also grows more and more filled with doubts about the boy

It was a good performance by Williams, especially when you see him on the late shows where he always plays a lunatic!
I found the back story interesting as well. His partner leaving him for a younger man leaving him wondering where his life will lead.
It's based on a true story and the behind the scenes segment is creepy.

I have to admit that there is one part of the story that I did not clue into until I was watching the extras! I won't say what it is because I do not want to give anything away, but it is something about the woman ... I remember at the time I was watching the movie thinking this isn't right!
Roger Ebert in his review of this movie was remarking about how good an actor Robin Williams is becoming.
