Penthouse to Develop HDTV Channels

Penthouse Media Group, the publisher of Penthouse Magazine, said today that it's launching "multiple" TV networks in High-Definition TV.

The company also said it was hiring former Playboy TV President Jim English to oversee the TV operations.

While at Playboy, English said his company may never launch a high-def channel because "some of the girls aren't that pretty."

English apparently was referring to Playboy's sister channel, Spice, whose actresses are considered rougher around the edges.
