need help with a hdtv

hi all im new here as ya can see lol, i need some help with a hdtv i am plaining on buying. i just need to know is if i can get a perfect picture on this one i am looking at. and make sure it a really good one. and will do what i want it to do. so prolly get perfect picture and love it after messing with the settings. so just tell me you pros or geeks or ppl that know alot about hdtvs or ppl that know there facts lol. so tell me if i can get a outstanding picture on this tv. and perfect the way i want and will love it lol. and omg sorry for repeating my self there. also make sure you tell me if there is any settings i sould not mess with on, in the tv, or could mess up the color or picture or anything forever. and if ya can find anymore info on this tv anywhere that would help ya then tell me how good this tv is and if it can do what i want it to do thx.

That is a 4:3 TV. You need a 16:9 or "widescreen" TV to display HDTV without bars on the top and bottom. When watching HD on that 27" TV you would be effectively watching a 21" 16:9 TV (I'm guessing on the exact size, but it's much smaller). It also does not have HDMI or DVI inputs which should be a requirement.

There is no such thing as a perfect picture, only personal preference and degrees of scientific accuracy. Watch whatever you're thinking of buying for an extended time period. If you like it then that's all that counts.

16:9 widescreen with HDMI (or at least DVI) inputs are required IMO plus a HD scan rate (at least 720p or 1080i). If you have cable then a cable card would be nice but not required.

I could not agree more if you are a casual viewer. Based on what you had selected it seems that is your application but I agree with Allen and all his points about this particular display. Follow his advice and you should be fine.

ok thx know any sites that have low prices and only sell "brand new tvs/hdtvs?" and thx for pointing that out bc it dose need that hdim input. iight thx for the help.

It seems to meet the basic criteria and it does appear to be a new TV.

I hate to say this but Wal-Mart is now carrying cheap HDTVs if you're really worried about ordering online.
