A spin on ocean documentary star Jacques Cousteau.

Steve Zissou swears revenge after a filming sequence where an unknown species of shark surprises them and eats his partner. After returning to port and completing part one of his film he sets off to find the shark. At least that is what we are told as he is side tracked for the most of the film which left me wondering if this plot line was ever going to be resolved.

There appears to be nothing of value here. It was a waste of our time. No one liked it. I personally am fed up with anything Bill Murray does that is marketed as funny.

Oh, and then Owen Wilson... He plays a guy from Kentucky and for the first scene I was impressed since he was not Owen Wilson for once. Unfortunately that was short lived as he bounces back and forth between the screen character and himself. Maybe someday he will be able to act as another person for the entire movie...
