An African native and house manager of a four star hotel finds himself, his family and country abandoned by the world during a bloody civil war and genocide by the Hutu against the Tutsi in 1994 Rawanda. This is the story of how he managed to prevent the genocide of over 1200 Tutsi right smack in the middle of the killings. With well deserved Oscar nominations in tow this movie comes highly recommended!

Sometimes in April
Movie Central HD here in Canada broadcast another movie on this subject in April ... "Sometimes in April". It was a little more graphic than "Hotel Rwanda" ... some scenes were very disturbing to watch.
