How can I D/L schedule to my Xp Media PC?

Post by jkfee »

My system is a HD Media m1170n PC. It has the capability to D/L the cable channels but I want to D/L the DirecTV channel guide.

Does any one out there know:
1. If it is possible?
2. If so, how would I achieve it?

I would think there must be a way to interact with the "new" channel guide that you have established.

I will be grateful to anyone that has a solution.

I live in the Santa Barbara area.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with the download/input requirements of Windows XP Media Center. Do you know much about the technical specs? If not, that's cool, I can do some research ... just looking to save a bit of time.

Thanks,

Sadly, I had quite the ordeal with Media Center and evetually opted to rebuild with XP Pro. Media Center is not geared for what you'd like to use, but what they give you. It's meant to be a one-stop-shop for some people. It is extremely inflexible and locks you into their software and guide... which doesn't include Dish or DirecTV.

Do yourself a favor and rebuild. Load XP Pro and you are free to install whatever you like.
