This common problem is likely due to a convergence failure especially if the symptom occurred from one day to the next. It will require repair. One quick check is to enter the convergence mode of your display, refer to your owners manual, and see if you can correct it. More than likely red or blue will not move indicating you have a failure. Do not continue to try and move other points since that will only induce errors once the unit is repaired. If you have an auto convergence feature then try that and if it does not correct it then you have a failure. With either method if your display provides the option to not save any changes you tried to make please select that. Do not enter the service menu, which you are not supposed to do anyway, and try to correct the problem because you will only create a bigger mess for the technician who will repair it. If all is left as is then when the technician comes out the failure will be repaired and he should be greeted with basically the same level of convergence performance you had prior to the failure.
If this is something you have noted slowly over time then you may only need an adjustment which is considered a minor service. Many RPTVs now offer either automated convergence such as One Touch Focus/Magic Focus or in depth manual convergence just like your service man would use and if you are looking to save money should be investigated. Please check your owners manual for more information. If neither of these resolve your problem it is time to call service.
