Young Andrew must return home due to the death of his mother which will also force him to face himself, his past and ultimately his father. Fortunately he meets up with free spirited Sam who helps him find direction in his life. I have not been impressed with Natalie Portman over the years but this movie appears to have presented her with an opportunity to show us that she can act and act quite well when given a part with many layers such as Sam. What begins feeling like another chick flick turns out to be a great comedy drama with a lot of thought provoking depth.
Highly recommended!
