2005 NASCAR Schedule in HD on NBC

In 2005 NBC will televise its portion of the 2005 NASCAR schedule in high-definition. Viewers will be able to experience the unrivaled picture clarity and quality sound of high-definition as the network broadcasts the second half of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series and NASCAR Busch Series races. NBC's full-season of HD NASCAR coverage includes 13 NASCAR Nextel Cup races and five NASCAR Busch Series races. NBC's NASCAR season will begin with the primetime Pepsi 400 from Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Saturday July 2. An official announcement is expected tomorrow -- Friday, Dec. 2.

Weren't the final few Nascar races on NBC this year in HD? Sure looked that way to me. Or was it just widescreen 480p?
