1 Hour Warm Up Before...

Post by Richard »

Regardless of technology all displays will change their characteristics due to thermal changes. You should always make your critical observations and calibrations after the product has been on for an hour at which time it will be at peak performance and stable. If you have a CRT based RPTV this is critical for the convergence circuit and you should not make any adjustments until it is on for an hour. You will note when you turn it on cold that it is slightly misconverged and if you were to align it at that time then an hour later it will be off again. I have had some folks drive themselves nutty over that.
