Screen Door Effect

The screen door effect is based on the same effect you get when looking through a bug screen on your doors or windows. This creates a pattern of tiny squares directly related to and technically called fill factor. Check this entry in the Video Dictionary in the library section.

The effect is common with digital displays also called FPD, fixed pixel displays and is onw of the reasons plasma does not meet 3 screen heights viewing distance for HD content; you can see the pixels creating the screen door effect.
