I work with Tweeter and one of my customers is looking at having to replace the optical engine on a 62" DLP purchased 1 1/2 years ago, with an estimated cost of $2000. I know that this has also been a recurring problem on these TV's, but have you heard anything about a similar warranty extension for optical engine replacement.

It needs to be inspected by a Mits ASC to confirm coverage if he has one of those models...
