I am also a rca 38310 owner. It has been bumped a couple of times by new tv's but I would like to keep it. I went to an HD box (directv) as well and have it going through a component source selector with good results.

I need to get it fixed. The whites and blacks do not match up on text and shadowing is happening-- more so closer to the sides. I live away from large cities and due to size will call a repair service. What advice to you have? resources for the repair man or typical fixes? I have owned this since new in 2001 and would like to keep my 1st hdtv.

thanks.
