Media Bureau Announces Comment and Reply Comment Dates for the Third DTV Periodic Review NPRM.
On July 9, 2007, the Third DTV Periodic Review NPRM was published in the Federal Register. Accordingly, comments must be filed on or before August 8, 2007 and reply comments must be filed on or before August 23, 2007. Commenters should follow the filing instructions provided in paragraphs 132 to 137 of the Third DTV Periodic Review NPRM. The Third DTV Periodic Review NPRM is also available on the Commission's website.

You may think your older TV set is just fine. But come Feb. 17, 2009, it could go blank unless you take steps to upgrade it so it can receive digital signals.

Preparation needed for digital TV switchover
Television stations across the country will begin broadcasting exclusively in a digital format after Feb. 17, 2009. But according to Nielsen Media Research, for 35,030 households in New Hampshire, the switch to digital could mean the loss of free TV reception in their homes unless they take steps to upgrade.
