This forum generally sticks to HD presentation rather than acquisition. However, it seems to me that if you are shooting for 35mm film, the best acquistion format will be 24P using the Cine Alta camera at 1080P. Of course, there is a large cost difference to purchase or rent the Cine Alta versus the Z1U. Another camera to consider on the lower end of the cost scale is the Panasonic HXV200 which I believe will shoot 1080P at 30fps and possibly 24 fps. Actually, I think the Panasonic will only shoot 720P at 24P native (not 1080) which is another possbility to consider (720 24PN to 35mm).
If you have not already, think your project through from video and audio acquistion to the editing system that will be used (all camera formats are not compatible with all editors) and final steps to generate 35mm film. It is beyond my experience to advise. David.
