Toshiba 34 inch HDTV - Scrambled Images in HD

Hoping someone out there can assist. I have a 3 yr old Toshiba HDTV (not a plasma). For about the last 9 months anytime I watch live HD broadcasts (basically any sports) the image on the screen will scramble as if it was a blocked channel. It's not the pixeled look of a signal problem, and I have had Comcast out 5 times to check the box, replace the box, and all the lines). At times it will even be a particular camera angle that will scramble, while others will be completely normal. It is also getting steadily worse over time, with more HD channels being impacted. The techs said they'd never seen anything like it. I have re-wired everything and use quality cables but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Are you getting pie crusting... a zig zag going up and down...?

Not sure I konw what pie crusting is, but I think squiggly lines is fair description. Sometimes it looks like the screen is splitting or partial screen???I know this is a terrible description...

It's basically very intense squiggly black and white lines and the screen flickers to the point you can't see anything...then the camera will change and it will be PERFECTLY CLEAR. Last night during the Daytona race 2 angles were messed up the entire race, other angles were very clear...

Again, their are no boxes or pixel deals (the tech showed me how a weak signal can do that by tinkering with the back of the box. This is is very different from that.

It smells like your scaler... time to call service... Go to Toshiba's website and look up the nearest authorized service center or try http://www.nesda.com/locator/state_search.php
