Tears of the Sun - Bluray, DVD

Lieutenant Waters is sent on a mission to pull out an American doctor, priest and 2 nuns from Nigeria that has gone into civil war meltdown. Like all good liberal doctors the 70 locals must also be saved by his team of 8 and one chopper or she will not leave.
This movie wreaked of Hollywood cliches and stupidity. Many of the plot lines are ridiculous destroying the suspension of belief. That said by the time they get on their way to the rescue point there is more to offer but the cliches do keep piling on. Bruce Willis saves the movie experience in the end.
If you are a Bruce Willis fan, like war movies or the African topic then this might be right up your alley.
I have to say not recommended. There are far better movies out there covering the same topic.
On the other hand I had no idea this was a 2003 movie and rented it primarily for the Bluray experience and on that count it did not disappoint providing great HD imaging and good sound!
