I am learning there are definitely TWO aspects to artisitic intent, correct imaging can't make up for a lack of size...
Richard, ain't "that" the truth!...another great example of what you said about size is the movie,"Lawrence Of Arabia" which come to think of it, I haven't watched in quite a while!......Tonight!... :D

I bought the SuperBit version of that when it came out and refused to watch it until I resolved some imaging problems with my display... Mits is retired rather than modified... things are now ready 8)

This movie has been great no matter what for me over the years and I look forward to the big screen experience!

If I knew it was coming out in HD though I would wait some more...

Richard...stick that Superbit version into your Toshiba HD-DVD!...You will be amazed at how well that player upscales that movie. My Sony mega changer upscales pretty darn good, but the Toshiba HD-DVD player definately tops it...May even look better than your Oppo...(worth a comparison).

The Toshiba does not work correctly with DVI inputs so I can't use it for SD DVD.

Watched this flick last night though and like all superbit titles it was shocking how good it looked!

All three of us were mesmerized by this 1962 movie. A classic and in our times worth watching and the book has even more value for understanding the arab states.

Highly recommended!

Yep! Still a great player! I wish the Toshiba HD DVD did it right, would move the Oppo back upstairs, but it messes up encoding YPbPr to RGB for the color so ya gotta have an HDMI input on your display so it stays in YPbPr mode!
