Transamerica - DVD

A transexual who is about to have his final operation in one week finds her world crashing in upon her. While receiving her final document from her psychiatrist approving the surgery she lets it slip out that she had received a phone call from a young man claiming to be her son. A quick discussion and her doctor insists she find out what is going on before she will approve the surgery so she heads off to New York to find out what is going on.
This was an absolutely great movie with a slice of life screenplay easy to believe. The acting is great all around but Felicity Huffman as our main character Bree Osbourne with some help from the make up department steals the show earning her a 2005 Oscar Nomination for Best Actress.
