Question for you. You mention that these WMV HD movies will play on the Xbox 360. Is that true of any WMV HD file or just the production verisons.
I have streamed WMV-HD video using the 360 as a Windows Media Center extender (which worked great.) Can I burn these files to a CD or DVD and play them directly?
Thanks

TRE - to author a WMV-HD for playback in a computer, you would need to include a player and some special activex controls.
See
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/window ... fault.aspx for more info about this process
As to how the xbox360 uses the files on the disc (does it look for autorun.inf etc), I really don't know, but I would think that if you want to pop the disc in and have it play, you would need to 'author' it as a wmv-hd dvd. otherwise, you should be able to play the wmv-hd files from the disc as you do from a hard drive.
hope that helps!

Here's a link to the Authoring Guide, as published by Microsoft:

I intend on trying some of this soon as well. I'll let you know how it goes as soon as I get around to it.
Hope that helps,
