Directv has added TNT HD, and UHD is airing most of the Olympic hockey.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't noticed. Any other channels soon to be coming up on D*? I heard HGTV to be one but don't know when.

Keep 'em coming? LOL! At this rate, adding about one or two a year, I'll be about 90 when they have them all.
TNT HD is nice to have, as are all the national channels. But more important to sports fans are their local channels that carry a HD picture of a hockey or basketball game that are NOT on Directv.
Is there
anything more frustrating to people like us when we see and hear "This game brought to you in spectactular high definition by Panasonic?" All the while of course, I'm being forced to watch it in muddy SD with a picture so bad that I can hardly read the #'s off the players' jerseys.
Oh, I know the reasons. Local cable companies that own a team's rights often don't release the HD feed to other cable or sat outlets becasue it's a selling point or they are just being downright vindictive. D* has plenty of room to clear space for HD feeds of local games. I've seen them do it on those channels 90-98
It really bugs the hell out of me that some people can wacth the same game in HD and I can't.
