Any comments about this antenna versus a CM4228?

I have the DB2, which has 1/4 the surface area of the DB8, and am very happy with it's performance-if the antenna is pointed at the transmitter. I get a 90+ signal from towers that are 35mi. away, and almost no signal from a tower that is 4 mi. away but in the opposite direction. That's fine with me because I have all the HD towers in the same direction(3), and that one channel I don't get is not HD anyway. I am sure the DB8 would work great at long distances-but it probably isn't "bi-directional" without a rotor.

Now if they could have just made it so you could flip half the elements to look in the opposite direction, then........

Richard- As the net gain graph shows, the DB-8 performs better on the high channels, but the CM4228 performs better on the low channels. The DB-8 costs more, while the 4228 is heavier but has some VHF reception that might be useful. Apart from these things, I consider them interchangeable. -Ken
