The trials and tribulations of both Michelangelo's painting of the Sistine Chapel and Pope Julius II vision of one Europe living in peace unified through Rome.
My Dad loves these old flicks and more often than not I am greeted with something worthwhile. Both Rex Harrison as Julius and Charleton Heston as Michelango turn in excellent performances as expected plus great cinematography and screenplay all combine for a memorable movie. Digitally repaired and remastered to HD from the 1990 film transfer this film is as fresh as yesterday. If it shows up in HD I would definitely watch it again!
