Hell Freezes Over only has DTS - no Dolby Digital. And you have to select it when you start the DVD - you can't change it once it's started. Not sure about Bee Gees since I haven't seen it. Most DVDs have a menu option to switch between stereo and Dolby Digital and/or DTS. You can't just switch it on the receiver, but your receiver needs to be either set to automatic or set to whichever format the DVD player is sending out.

So when you first start the Hell Freezes Over DVD, does it give you the choice of DTS or PCM? If you choose DTS what happens?

Alan it does give you a choice but when you click on DTS it goes to the video but does not change to DTS or DOLBY DIGITAL on the reciever,s screen.

1 - make sure the DVD player is setup to output DTS. This is usually an option on the setup menu.
2 - make sure you're using the digital audio output on the dvd player and the correct digital audio input on the MC-8.
3 - manually select DTS mode on the MC-8
4 - insert DVD and select DTS
