Hi,
I was wondering if you could maybe help me out? I purchased a non-functioning Moscode Minuet pre-amp and have several J-fets that are blown, among other problems with it. I don't really want to ship it to George Kay to have it repaired (i live in canada and the shipping and tech fees would simply bust my budget for it). George is also not willing to share his schematics with me. I was wondering if you may happen to have them as you have modded yours? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow. What does George want to repair it?

I would have to do some deep digging for the schematics. The biggest problem with that unit is the loss of the power supply which often times centers around a 220V regulator circuit using a very oddball part.

How do you know you lost the FETs?

Thanks for the reply! George wants $85.00 U.S. for the first hour and $65.00 U.S. for every additional hour plus shipping and handleing fees, custom fees... Way out of my budget considering the initial cost of this pre-amp. I know the Fets are gone because they are litterally no longer recognizable. By that, I mean blown so that there are only parts that are soldered to the board of where they should be and the rest was sort of found wandering loosely in the pre-amp. With that, I have completely unrecognizable parts, not to mention, what went where. I also didn't have a proper volume control in the unit. So whatever help I can get would be wonderful. The schematics of course would be a God send for I can put it on my Variac and test the voltages before plugging it in and watch it fry due to another problem in the circuit.
