Oceans 12 - DVD

Post by Richard »

The sequel picks up where Oceans 11 left off. Terry Benedict figures out who stole his money and where they are living giving them 2 weeks to come up with about 200 million.

While the screenplay is chock full of unexpected and entertaining twists and turns (we discussed all that enthusiastically) there was some crucial element missing and we conclude that was plausibility. Just the main plot point provided seems ridiculous! In the end some of the things going on and how they do it simply do not add up. From that aspect Oceans 11 was far better. It seems this film is far more about Hollywood self promotion and slick thievery rather than providing a solid story that suspends our belief for about 2 hours. This was disappointing but I guess expected as Oceans 11 was not a great movie and sequels tend to fall flat compared to the original.

If I had passed this one by I would not have felt I had missed a thing...

I was very disappointed in this movie ... I expected it to be as good as Ocean's 11 ... and I think it fell far short!
