The Existential Detective Agency answers your profound questions about life by watching your every move and listening to every conversation.
Albert is a tree hugging environmental activist frustrated with his battles and decides to hire the Existential Detective Agency to help him to find out the mysterious meaning to a coincident in his life. His arch nemesis Brad also hires the crew. Both Albert and Brad are involved in protecting a refuge from a new store being built in the area, Huckabees, which Brad happens to work for.
The agency takes the new age philosophy of our time and applies it to their clients providing an answer to their questions that is constantly flip flopping between the yin and yang or what some circles call divine paradox. Another character, Catarine, is a well known french philosopher who disagrees with the agency presenting the deepest divine paradox in the film for the agencies clients.
