Free spirited Auntie Mame becomes the guardian of her nephew when his parents die before Black Monday, the stock market crash of the 30's, leaving her as the only relative left to raise him and there in lies this wonderful story. This movie is so good I would have thought it to be a modern period piece. The screenplay still holds up today! We enjoyed this movie immensely.
The colors were rich and the details much better in comparison to many of the other movies from this time period.
Highly recommended!
