I would like to move my mitsubishi 55819 projection tv to my second home. Can anyone tell if there are any special precautions I should take before I move it. Thank you in advance for the help.

Just move it in the upright position using a box van or truck so the wind does not rip the screen out. put some padding on the screen side.
Good Luck!

Also as a precaution, if the TV is in the cold for some time, allow it to return to room temp(a few hours) before plugging it in and turning it on.
You'll probably have to readjust the convergence after moving it since they are sensitive to what direction the unit is facing. That's why the feature is there.

This may sound strange, but I was told that I could move my RPTV with the screen down on some thick moving blankets and it wouldn't hurt anything...that way you don't worry about wind or it tipping over...So anyways I did it once and it worked fine...

The guy that said to move it that way was a TV tech at a TV repair shop in San Jose Ca...(I figured he knew what he was talking about)... Rolling Eyes

Quite reasonable.
Unfortunately he was incorrect. Moving one that way puts stress on the coolant seals. Don't do it.
