TiVo: HR10-250 DirecTV HDMI/DVI output is completely dead

Hi all. Well, the good news is I got my HDTV yesterday and it is fantastic. YEAH. Couldn't be happier with it.
The bad news is I can't get the HR10-250 Sat receiver to work in HDMI.
I've used the HDMI to HDMI cable and the HDMI to DVI cable with no luck. Component connection works fine. With HDMI hooked up either way, the display sees the connection, searches for a signal, and then says "no signal". I tried several restarts with no luck. The HDMI output is completely dead. Just as if it is locked out or something.

There are some threads on this problem on the net. Seems I am not alone and may have gotten a bad one. Does anyone know of a way to get this HDMI reset and working? I would like to do my best at figuring it out before I bring it back. Thanks much.

I have a HR10- 250 too, but will be using component output for some time yet. However I too have read of this problem which seems widespread. The fix seems to be exchange of the unit. See this thread if you don't have it already. HDMI failure is the FIRST item with 451 posts.

Sorry this isn't much help- it is a very frustrating situation. I am worried too, since I probably won't be able to even test my HDMI for a couple of years. I did buy the CC extended warranty.
