Chuckken,

Video games are no more dangerous then news channels or watching 4:3 with black/gray bars. Turn your contrast down as covered in...

Chukken,

I've used my Nintendo Gamecube on my 56H80 for 3 years, with no issues. I connect it via component and the games are 16:9.

Madden 2005 looks incredible!

It normally takes close to a hundred hours for black sidebars to cause burn-in. But 100% fully intense white has been reported to burn-in in less than 30 minutes. Does your video game put out 100% white? Do your kids ever walk away from the TV with the video game still on? (Richard: We seem to have exchanged positions on this issue.

On what display technology? I can see such a claim for plasma only and with those turning down the contrast is not the ideal solution as that will muddy up the image due to loss of dynamic range. If you have one though and gotta play games then turn it down.

CRT RPTV is not nearly that bad but definitely takes 2nd place for being susceptible. Turn the contrast down and with CRT that works quite well.
