Audio but no video in home theater setup

Apologize in advance if this isn't 100% on-forum topic, but it is related to a setup question I posed here a couple of months ago. I am moving my home entertainment setup to our newly-remodeled den, and am testing components before we make the final install. My overall objective is to have home theater containing HD via antenna, but SD via Comcast SD set top box (which I did successfully in the original room by connecting composite cable to set top box and selecting a different input on my TV, the "TV" input was connected to my antenna).
Now, I want to interface components with a Yamaha RX-V367 receiver. HDTV is 50" Panasonic TC-P50S1, and Comcast cable set top box is an SD Motorola DCT 2524/1612. (I also have a Samsung Blu Ray BD-C5500 attached to receiver via HDMI but that isn't part of my problem). When I try to hook up my Motorola STB, I get great audio but no video on receiver channel AV3, even after selecting all of the different inputs and re-scanning on the TV. The connection is: Receiver HDMI Out to TV HDMI In, cable wire from wall to "Cable In" on back of set top box, and yellow composite video and digital coax from set top box to AV3 on back of receiver. (Note that I am able to view video on TV when watching a Blu Ray / DVD; that is connected from HDMI out on Blu Ray to HDMI 1 on receiver.)
