Using Panasonic DMP BD30k HDMI output directly to Sony A60XBR2 tv. My question is, when playing BR disc how do I know if the DVD player is actually outputting 1080p to television? The unit has a funtion displaying the outputs but it only shows as high as 1080i. I don't get why it doesn't have a 1080p selection. Is the TV and DVD player automaticly reading it at 1080p because the disc in is a BR disc? Just looking for some clarification and piece of mind. Thank you in advance for any reply's.

Normally in the player setup you tell it the formats that your TV supports and it selects the best one automatically. Make sure the BD player is set only for 1080p output (if your TV supports it). Then you should be able to have the TV display the actual input resolution just to double check it.
My guess is the default output in the BD player is 1080i and you have to manually set it up for 1080p but that's just a guess.

I googled A60XBR2 and it won't come up... with a correct model number chances are good you/we can find out if it is a 1080p display.
