LCD Back Lighting - which one?

With a little patience a great simulation is worth a thousand words! Why is standard back lighting frowned upon?

Move the slider back and forth. If you want the correct colors you want WCG-CCF, wide color gain cold cathode flourescent, back lighting. LED back lighting and the new Tristimulous LED from Sony accomplishes the same.
