I won't be letting go of mine! You got a steal of deal at less than $900 considering the reference quality of the display and Tiger isn't the only one. Just remember ya gotta be over 3 screen heights or you WILL see pixels.
BTW, the 1080p version is expected soon...

I couldn't resist. Mine's on the way. I'll probably also end up with the 1080p if Samsung gets their act together and offers a real marketing and distribution plan this time. Joe Kane has announced that he will be demonstrating the pre-production sample at CEDIA EXPO in September. He told me he was pleased with the unit he inspected in S. Korea. Samsung's intent is to compete in price with Sony's SXRD offerings. Joe assured me this new version will outperform everything out there, even units selling for $20k.

don't know about all that...
Here on the site is a thread about my experience from being DOA, I fixed it, to premature lamp failure which was an exchange. The current one is doing fine although it has not been fired up for a while due to heavy 1080p useage for me but I did use it until the TV season ended for all 720P content like Lost and American Idol as well as sopme 720p PS3 games.
Right now I am stuck on 1080p via HD disc and World of Warcraft...

The PTAE1000 is still in the stable for reviews of sources due to the waveform monitor. It also makes a great 1080p backup if my main fails which is the BenQ W10000. Did you read the review?
