When Netflix say "a modest increase" I take them at their word. I would be very suprised if it was more than dollar and I wouldn't be all that suprised if itwas 0.50 cents. They have to pay more for their Blu Ray (and in the past HD) discs and want to maintain their profit level. Who can blame them for that?

I'd far rather have a Blu Ray movie delivered into my mail box than download a movie with inferior audio codecs and likely inferior video. And who wants to waste the time doing it?

I've never been so anxious for a movie that I can't wait two or three days for it.

You guys seem to miss our point that Blockbuster Online does not currently charge extra for Blu-Ray rentals sent to your mailbox (just like Netflix!).

Hollywood Video charges $2 more per disc for in store rentals. (They did for HD DVD, too. It was wonderful to buy titles for $10 vs. renting them for $6 when they had their HD DVD firesale!)

A small premium sounds like $2/month more. Netflix has yet to announce specifics. Their movie availability was horrible with HD DVD. However, their selection was better than Blockbuster's. I've heard there are Blu-Ray disc supply issues, too. Low supply, high demand=raise prices by Econ 101.

I'll get my DVD, HD DVD and Blu-Ray movies from Blockbuster Online!
