Mines' working
My 500 gb Maxtor HDD is having several hours of programs transferred to it right now while I watch a TV show that I recorded earlier. So the CSRwas wrong. BTW CSR stands for Can be Seriously Retarded. I know that isn't PC but that's what it seems like when you talk to these ppl that have little training & paid too little money.

CSR uninformed of updates
Well, I contacted customer support via phone and the very friendly rep I got (Sue I think was her name) told me she hadn't been informed yet but looked it all up on her computer and confirmed that everything I had requested was, indeed, available... she also advised that I should use a new hard drive because the drive would be automatically reformated to work only with the 622 DVR. So I went out and bought a Seagate 500gb external and after hooking it up, it does indeed all happen pretty much automatically except that you do have to call tech support one more time to have them activate and ask you to accept the $39.99 charge. That done, I've now transferred about 60 gigabytes of programming to the new drive and it is FANTASTIC! Seems to take about 1/3 the amount of time as the HD program you are transferring. SD takes about 1/5 the amount of time. This is the best thing to happen to my setup since I switched to DISH. And add to that the several new channels that have come online to the HD lineup and it is an HD lovers dream come true!
