PS3 update from Sony
----- HDTV Magazine Tips List -----
Good news for those of you trying to get a PS3:
http://gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=21577
It essentially says that Sony is committing to have 1 million PS3's "in
the pipeline" by the end of the year/month ... stating that the
"manufacturing...problems have been resolved".

Thought I would mention that I have 2 in hand for sale. one 60GB and one 20GB...The demand will get higher in the days preceding X-mas. Anyone interest in one of these can PM me or email me at [email protected]. The 60GB is 800.00 and the 20GB is 700.00...Ground shipping should only be about 25 bucks or so. Or you can pick-up in Acworth or Merrietta area GA...

Yeah...Okay. Let me know.
Large PS3 shipment on December 17?
Added on 12/16/2006.
A rumor has been floating around the internet for a couple days now, saying both Sony and Nintendo are gearing up to ship a large amount of consoles to North American retailers on December 17. According to PS3seeker and Wiiseeker, "We believe there are going to be Wiis held and released Dec. 17 and that will be the last shipment before Christmas. We think there might be a PS3 shipment about the same time."
Of course nothing is set in stone, as both respective companies are the only ones who really know when they'll be shipping more units. However, both Toys R Us and Circuit City are expecting to receive more units this weekend.
So perhaps this rumor is a fact and that retailers will indeed receive more PS3s and Wiis on Sunday. Either way, true or not, it would be saddening to miss out on what could be the last chance to gain a PS3 or Wii before Christmas.
I personally think this is a rumor. They may ship out more Nintendo's, but I doubt any more PS3s will make it before Xmas.

Update on PS3....
All was well until tonight the wife and I were watching "Click" with Adam Sandler...and it froze up once, then later we were watching X-men and it froze up 3 times!...That's one more time than my Toshiba HD-DVD player has done all year!...Dunno...With no IR and this freezing up scenereo, I'm gonna bail out on the PS3 and go with the Pioneer Elite and pray that it is the answer to my hopes for a solid blu-ray machine...

Richard, I have a receipt for it from BB, and have not filled out the warranty card...so there is no problem there. Actually, I have till Jan 24th to return it to Best Buy but I would lose money...I was over at avsforums and everyone there is reporting the same occational freeze up scenereo, (so I don't think there is anything wrong with the player). I payed 800 for it. Give me 700.00 and it's yours. You will have till Jan 24th to return it. This way I'm only down 1 Ben Franklin instead of 2...
Let me know.
