Re: HDTV and Home Theater Podcast - Podcast #527: The Hopper by Dish
This may get me to switch from D* as the slow switching performance on Direct's receivers is terrible. However, I have a tech question that hopefully someone knows the answer to.
When I tried to switch once before Dish wouldn't install because I insisted on using the original RG59 cable to connect the 2nd DVR, which was located in the far bedroom. They said the data current was too intense and would overheat the cable, leading to an eventual failure of the line. The RG6 cable they wanted to use required cabling outside our townhome and would have been an eyesore my wife wouldn't live with.
Any thoughts?
